R-Day: Daredevils show might with first female officer in team

New Delhi, Jan 26 (UNI) Daredevils of the Indian Army led by Captain Manpreet Singh showcased their extreme talent of motorcycle stunts by Singh himself saluting from a 12-feet long ladder at the occasion of Republic Day parade on Saturday.

This is the first time in the history where he surpassed his own record of saluting from a ladder of 8ft.

Captain Shikha Surbhi from the corps of signals also did a standing salute on a motorcycle which gathered a huge round of applause from the audience, the 28 year old the first female officer in the Army Daredevil team.

The daredevils which performed variety of stunts like mercury T, standing salute and lotus formation exhibited their strength and mental stability.

Daredevils, the dispatch riders possess self-determination, unmatched courage and stamina who are proficient in the trade.

Rolling down Rajpath with the rumble of the bikes, three bikers also showcased a Yoga display with Dhanush Asan and Suryanamaskar.

The team has also made the world record of 50 Yoga positions on a single motorbike.

They also displayed the ‘Mercury Peak’ with 14 riders on 2 bikes speeding down the Rajpath with their flag on the top.

The human pyramid made by 33 army daredevil’s on nine motorcycles became the centre of attraction.
