A warm display of brother-sister love and exchange of banter was on display as Congress president Rahul Gandhi and AICC general secretary for Uttar Pradesh (east) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra crossed paths at Kanpur airport on Saturday while heading for their respective campaign rallies in Uttar Pradesh.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met at Kanpur airport as they both headed in different directions. “Was nice meeting Priyanka at Kanpur Airport! We’re headed to different meetings in UP,’’ Rahul said in a Facebook post.
A video shared by Rahul on Facebook showed that he was on his way to his constituency Amethi for campaigning when he saw his sister, who was headed to a different meeting.
Not being able to resist his big brotherly love, he hugged her. After the two had exchanged greetings, Rahul Gandhi, all of a sudden, came close to the camera to tell what it was like to be a brother. “Let me tell you what it means to be a good brother. I am going on a massive, massive ride but I have got a small helicopter, and Priyanka is going on a really small ride but she has got a big helicopter,” Rahul said while Priyanka kept on smiling.
The Congress president and his sister were in Uttar Pradesh as campaigning for the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections ended on Saturday. While Rahul Gandhi held public gatherings in his own constituency Amethi and Rae Bareli, which is the Lok Sabha seat of his mother and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, his sister Priyanka held roadshows in Unnao and Barabanki.
