New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) Expressing dissatisfaction over the Supreme Court’s judgement in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land title suit case, All India Majis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asadudddin Owaisi on Saturday said urged the Muslim side to reject the Supreme Court’s offer of five-acre alternate land to construct a Mosque.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, the AIMIM chief said, ‘Not satisfied with the verdict. The Supreme Court is indeed supreme, but not infallible. We have full faith in the Constitution. We are fighting for our legal right, we don’t need five-acre land as donation, don’t patronise us.’
The apex court on Saturday pronounced that the Ram temple will come up on the disputed land in Ayodhya, while the Muslims will get an alternative land of five acres anywhere in Ayodhya.
Hitting out at all political parties, Mr Owaisi said Muslims have been deceived by all political parties, including the Congress.
‘Congress has shown their true colours, but for the party’s deceitness & hypocrisy. The idols would not have been placed in 1949, had the locks not opened by Rajiv Gandhi. The Masjid would still be there, had Narasimha Rao discharged his duties,’ he added.
He also accused the RSS and BJP of making India a Hindu nation.
