Police arrested a youth on Friday on charges of abusing and threatening Puducherry Education Minister R Kamalakannan. A video in which a youth abusing and threatening Mr Kamalkannan, who was elected to the territorial assembly from Thirunallar constituency in Karaikal, went viral in social media.
Following this, Police registered a case and arrested the youth who was hiding in Thirunallar area. The culprit was identified as Shankar Guru (25) hailing from Pettai village near Thirunallar. Police are on the look out for Ajith and Kannan who posted the video on social media. (UNI)
