Well known Kannada Film Producer Jayashridevi passed away following brief illness at Apollo hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday. She was 60. She was survived by her adopted son Vasu. NATO is not planning to deploy new ground-based nuclear weapons in Europe even after the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) becomes invalid following US withdrawal, NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller said Wednesday. “We will now discuss how to respond to new Russian missiles. A fire broke out in the National Capital’s Paschim Puri area in the small hours on Wednesday, reducing 250 shanties to ashes. Acting on an information received at 0115 hrs, 28 fire tenders were pressed into service to put out the inferno, a Fire department official told UNI. A woman, who suffered burn injuries in the incident, was rushed to a nearby local hospital. The fire was brought under control by 0315 hrs, the official added.
