Srinagar, Jan 9 (UNI) Security forces on Wednesday launched a Cordon and Search Operation in south Kashmir district of Shopian.
Following specific information about presence of militants, a joint CASO was launched by Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police, Army and CRPF in Heff in Shopian this morning.
The forces were conducting house-to-house search in the area. “Searches were also being conducted in nearby fields and orchards,” the sources said.
So far, no contact has been established with militants.
