Ranveer Singh who got recently married to Deepika Padukone recalls that, it was Deepika, who ‘grounded me’ in time else the actor said, he would have been carried by the name and fame. Ranveer further said that , ‘before she had her blockbuster year, we had already started dating’. Ranveer who recently tied the knot with Deepika in Italy has added ‘six months into the relationship I knew she was the one’.

Filmmaker Nandita Das and actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui were awarded at the APSA. Siddiqui after receiving the award has thanked the APSA and thanked specially Nandita Das for getting the award of Best Performance by An actor for his film Manto. ‘Honoured’ said the actor while Das received the FIAPF award for Achievement.

Reacting to media queries the BJD leader and minister for health Pratap Jena has said that ‘ for Dilip Ray BJD’s doors are open and he can join the party anytime’ however, Jena reserved his comments on the rumoured entry of Bijay Mohapatra into the BJD. He said that , the chief minister only can take a decision as regards the joining of Mohapatra in BJD.

Two senior BJP leaders , Bijay Mohapatra and Dilip Ray have resigned from the party today citing inaction on the part of the BJP as regards the interest of Odisha. Odisha police has succeeded to arrest one Bodhisatwa Bhattacharya from Bhubaneswar who had allegedly robbed at the residence of Bengali actress Rituparna Sengupta of cash and valuables. The accused had lodged himself in a city hotel in Bhubaneswar who had also tried to blackmail Sengupta for further cash to return the valuables. He will be produced before the court and will be taken on remand, say the police sources.

An ACP of the Delhi police, in a shocking incident, jumped from the 10th floor of the police head quarter in Delhi and committed suicide. The dead officer’s body was found in the porch of the building . Suspense continues as the investigation is underway to ascertain the real cause behind the suicide by the ACP, Prem Ballabh who was 55 year old.

Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan has shot a letter to the chief minister Naveen Patnaik for quick initiatives towards the setting up of the plastic plant in Paradeep which is a joint venture of the state and the centre. Pradhan has emphacised that the proposed plant would ease up the requirements of investors and take up works on further infrastructural developments. He has sought the CM’s personal intervention.

It was a big go ahead as India’s earth observation satellite HysIS was launched by ISRO along with 30 other foreign satellites which includes 23 from the US. It was launched from the First Launch Pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre  and the satellites were carried by the workhorse rocket PSLV-C43. It was the 45th flight of the PSLV.

A B-Tech student was told by the Punjab & Haryana high court that he should not opt to be an Engineer after not passing 17 examinations spanning over nine years. The court rather advised him to choose some other subject rather than Engineering saying if he could not do in 17 exams then how in one attempt.
