Pune police has come out with revelations regarding a design by the Maoists to assassinate the prime minister Narendra Modi. The findings hint at the plans by the ultras to procure huge stock of arms to wage a war against the country, the Pune police made the disclosure in its charge sheet in the Elgar Parishad case which was filed on Thursday.
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu strongly positioning himself against the alleged misuse of the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has straight told the union government that the latter has no power to deploy the CBI in Andhra Pradesh without the consent of the State government. Naidu has allegedly told that the Centre is misusing the agency to serve it’s own purpose but in Andhra this will not be allowed any more.

Union minister Maneka Gandhi has expressed deep concern over the frequent deaths of wild elephants. In a letter to the chief minister Naveen Patnaik she has also referred the deaths of seven elephants in Dhenkanal and expressed shock that between 2011-2017 435 elephants died out of which 124 due to electrocution only. There is a terrible laclk of coordination between the concerned departments, Maneka said in the letter and sought direct intervention of the chief minister.

After a prolonged agitation by the High Court lawyers protesting the physical assault on a lawyer the strike has been called off after the three police personnel tendered an unconditional apology in the High Court today. This was informed by the secretary of the Bar Association Srikant Nayak. From Thursday the lawyers will resume work. Meanwhile, the Bar Association has decided in a meeting that to ward off any such unpleasant incident or development in the future a body shall be formed which shall lay down the modalities as how to tackle with such situation .
