A tech savvy thief from Andhra Pradesh, Sathya Reddy made a novel attempt to rob the rich ones through use of Google map to know the posh families in Chennai and took a flight. His mapping helped as he started breaking into few houses where people were outside and robbed them, even by breaking houses where owners could be overpowered. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday made a blistering attack on country’s first Prime Minister Pt Jawahwarlal Nehru for his faulty agrarian policies and said those were essentially responsible for the hardships of farming community.

Addressing an election rally at here, he asserted that things would have been different if Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was in power during those days.

“Yeh Gulab Ke phool lagake ghumne wale log, bagicho ka gyan tha. Unko kheto ka gyan nahi tha

(“I want to say something very clearly. Those who roamed about with ‘rose’ pinned on attire might have had knowledge of the garden but hardly understood anything about farming),” the Prime Minister said.

“Those leaders did not appreciate the hard work of Indian farmers. If Sardar Patel was country’s first Prime Minister, the farmers would not be going through the problems they are facing today,” Mr Modi said charging the Congress with “spreading falsehood” about farming community.

Qatar on Monday announced that it would leave the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) from the start of the new year and concentrate on developing and raising its natural gas output to 110 million tonnes from 77 million tonnes a year.

Fresh from overseas visit and just four days to go for crucial assembly elections in Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday described Congress party as a “university of falsehood” and maintained the general refrain that every five years government has to change in the desert state will be proved wrong this time.
“Congress has become a university of falsehood. More lies one says in that party, that person is rewarded,” the Prime Minister said addressing an election rally here.

He said there is a general refrain that every five years, the government is changed in Rajasthan and hence Congress party is sitting pretty satisfied confident that they will come back to power without doing anything.

A 53-year-old man, a retired soldier, who was arrested on charges of allegedly murdering his wife, died while he was in police custody on Monday.
Official sources said police had arrested Krishnamurthy on the charges of murdering his wife Meghala Devi (50) on November 20 and he had also confessed to have murdered his wife over family dispute. He had informed the police that he threw the weapon used for the murder near Kalkare on the outskirts of the city.
Then police took him to the spot to recover the weapon. While he was being taken to the spot, He collapsed while police were taking him. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but had died on the way to the hospital, DCP Rahul Kumar Shapurwada informed.
After retiring from Indian army the deceased had been working in a private firm as lift operator. As he died while being in police custody, Additional Commissioner of police Seemanth Kumar Singh has entrusted the case to CID.

Sanya played two diversely different character in her last two films, ‘Patakha’, which was directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and ‘Badhaai Ho’ directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.

In ‘Patakha’ the actress played the role of a girl from a very small Village of Rajasthan, which is based on an acclaimed short story by renowned writer Charan Singh Pathik. In ‘Badhaai Ho’ she plays Delhi girl, who knows whats she wants in her life.

On the work front, her next film starring Nawazuddin Siddique, directed by Ritesh Batra ‘Photograph’ will be screened at Sundance Film Festival.

A video has gone viral in several platforms where in a Shelter Home in Dhenkanal in which it was shown that minor girls are given forced ‘benediction’ and conversion into Christianity. The conversion was going on unlawfully and the expose has given grains for the political opposition. How can the intelligence failed to trace such a heinous process is surprising which going on in 26 such homes.

Earlier there were allegation from the Shelter Home regarding sexual exploitation of minor girls.

In an unprecedented move, Akali Dal leader and Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Sunday urged Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to take action against his Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi for “hurting sentiments of Sikhs” and using the word ‘googly’ vis-a-vis developments related to Kartarpur Corridor.
“….Please walk the talk and take action against Mahmood Qureshi for politicising religious issue to assuage hurt feelings of Sikhs,” Ms Badal tweeted.

Mounting pressure on the Pakistani leadership, Ms Badal, who had visited Kartarpur on November 28, wrote in a series of tweets: “I urge Pak PM Imran Khan to take action against his minister for hurting sentiments of Sikhs and peace efforts by equating attendance at function at Sri Kartarpur Sahib with trapping India by bowling a googly”.  “Nothing can be more disgusting than this,” she said.

The Rupee on Monday slipped by 30 paise to 69.89 against the greenback in early trade on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said. The local unit recorded intra day high and low at 70.09 and 69.85 respectively.
The domestic unit fell due to strong dollar against world currencies, they added.

A day after Congress President Rahul Gandhi sought to question the ‘Hindu credential’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as many as three Union Ministers including former BJP chief Rajnath Singh on Sunday – separately – lashed out at the principal opposition party. Mr Singh was supported by senior Minister Sushma Swaraj as well as party’s vocal leader and another Minister in the Modi cabinet – Smriti Irani.
“It is ridiculous that those leaders who were apprehensive and shy of taking the name of Hindu or Hindutva in the past are trying to ask us about Hinduism. I need not define Hindutva again, the Supreme Court had done it much earlier describing it as a way of life,” Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh told reporters at Bansur in Rajasthan.

 Commercial Vehicle Major, Ashok Leyland Ltd has reported a drop of 9 per cent in its total sales for the month of November 2018 at 13121 units, as against 14457 units in November 2017. M&HCV sales was down 18 percent in November 2018 to 8718 units from 10638 units in November 2017. However, LCV sales was up 15 percent in November 2018 to 4403 units from 3819 units in November 2017.

 In a novel way of wooing youths of Kashmir into militancy the Pakistanis have initiated a method of ‘honey trapping’ youths of Kashmir. They are later trained by the Pakistan based terror groups as human carriers for arms or links to guide infiltrating militants into Kashmir. A woman was also arrested while acting as a ‘honey trap’.

It did not go well for Priyanka and Nick when after the wedding the sky in Jodhpur got lit up and covered by thick smoke when a massive cracker show started. Priyanka who wore the cap of an anti-pollution campaigner during last Diwali for India got heavily trolled in twitter for polluting the air in her own wedding. Some called it ‘hypocrisy’.
